PeTA  PeTA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. They also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of beavers, birds and other "pests," and the abuse of backyard dogs.
Humane Farming Association  HFA's goals are to protect farm animals from cruelty, to protect the public from the dangerous misuse of antibiotics, hormones, and other chemicals used on factory farms, and to protect the environment from the impacts of industrialized animal factories. HFA's National Veal Boycott continues to be the single most successful campaign ever conducted against factory farming. Achieving an unprecedented drop of 70% in the sale of drugged, anemic, and tortured baby calves, HFA's groundbreaking investigations have resulted in the first-ever felony convictions of veal industry leaders.
